Spindletop International Awards $20,000 Grant to Small Steps Nurturing Center
Small Steps is proud to be the recipient of a major grant from Spindletop International. Spindletop is a leading Houston-based benefactor of non-profit organizations serving children in need. Founded in 1966 to promote goodwill and fellowship within the oil and gas industry, Spindletop has contributed over $12 million to youth charities. This year, 2008, will be the fourth year in a row that Spindletop contributions have exceeded $1 million. Spindletop’s gift will be used to renovate the playground on Small Steps’ First Ward campus and build a shade structure on Small Steps’ Fifth Ward campus.
