Launch of Small Steps Capital Campaign: Growing Hope for the Future

September 26, 2011

Small Steps Nurturing Center is pleased to announce the launch of its Capital Campaign, Growing Hope for the Future.

This campaign will allow Small Steps to expand its Jensen Drive (Fifth Ward) preschool campus, adding four additional classrooms, additional therapy and service space, as well as office space and classroom observation capabilities.  This addition will allow for the addition of sixty students to the Small Steps program, bringing the total number of children served to 180 by 2015!

We have seen first-hand the great demand for Small Steps’ services that there is.  The Board of Directors has developed a long-term strategic plan to help address the needs of the community and to fulfill Small Steps’ mission.  Part of that plan includes a further expansion of our Fifth Ward facility, due to the continued demand for services and proven efficacy of our program.  We anticipate breaking ground on the expansion during the fall of 2011, and opening our first two two- and three-year-old classrooms in fall 2012.

We are proud to announce that due to tremendous support from Small Steps’ Board of Directors and other lead donors, we have reached a momentous $1,231,500 in pledges, and are almost halfway to our goal of $2,600,000!

Would you consider supporting Small Steps in its expansion efforts?
