In its 12 years, The Small Steps Energy Classic has raised over $6.3 million in support of early childhood education. Last year alone, The Energy Classic raised more than $800,000 for the children of Small Steps Nurturing Center.
The Energy Classic is the principal source of funding for Small Steps Nurturing Center, a nationally accredited early childhood program in Houston’s First and Fifth Wards dedicated to stopping the cycle of poverty through education and early intervention. Small Steps is unique in that it provides a comprehensive program that addresses the needs of both the children and their families and is funded solely by private donations. |
