Thank you for your interest in impacting more children through intervention and early education. Our capital campaign, Growing Hope for the Future, will help provide a quality education and early intervention for more children in need in Houston.
The Need to Grow
As Small Steps serves its 118 students, demand continues to grow each year. Small Steps receives approximately 3 applications for each space available.
Expanding to Serve More Students
The Board of Directors has developed a long-term strategic plan to help address the needs of the community and to fulfill Small Steps’ mission. This plan will include the addition of four more classrooms at Small Steps’ Jensen Drive (Fifth Ward) location, which would allow Small Steps to eventually serve 180 children in total. Small Steps also plans to add observation and training capabilities, as it receive many requests from collaborative partners and education students to observe and learn from Small Steps.
Supporting the Campaign
Please consider an investment in the lives of Houston’s children and families in poverty. Through helping us build classroom space for sixty more children, you are changing the trajectory of these students’ lives, and the lives of many more children for years to come.
