Three cheers for the 13th annual Small Steps Energy Classic golf tourney that today will see more than 300 players spread across four golf courses – an effort that has already raised more than $800,000 for the Small Steps Nurturing Center.
It’s a charitable high for the energy guys such as El Paso Corp.’s Doug Foshee, BreitBurn Energy’s Thurmon Andress, Eagle Rock Energy Partners’ Joseph Mills, EnCap Investments’ Wynne M. Snoots Jr., Lockton Marine & Energy’s John Rathmell Jr. and many more.
This is the second consecutive year that the tournament, centered at Champions Golf Club, will reach that six-figure high. Since the beginning, the benefit play has brought in more than $7 million for the charity that provides social and emotional therapy for at-risk children.
