Description: Our Kindergarten students at Small Steps’ DePelchin campus have been reading Listen to the Wind, an early reader’s version of the story of Greg Mortenson and his efforts to build schools in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The children responded to this moving story by deciding to collect pennies that will contribute to community-based education and literacy programs in remote mountain regions of Central Asia.
