Small Steps Ultimate Wine Classic
Small Steps Nurturing Center is excited to host the inaugural inaugural Small Steps Ultimate Wine Classic – A Toast to Small Steps on April 14, 2010.
For almost 15 years, Small Steps has been providing education, nutritional meals, transportation, and social-emotional therapy to economically at-risk children in Houston. This event is your opportunity to both support the mission of Small Steps and explore the exciting world of wine.
In addition to distinctive wines expertly paired with delicious foods, Certified Wine Educator and Sommelier Monsterville Horton, IV, co-proprietor of Cova Wines, will expand your knowledge of wine in a fun and interactive setting. Monsterville is one of only 130 Certified Wine Educators globally and has visited, studied and lived in every major wine producing region in the world.
The event will honor Douglas L. Foshee, Chairman and CEO of El Paso Corporation and former longtime Board Member of Small Steps. Mr. Foshee served on the Board of Directors at Small Steps for ten years, during which time he provided important strategic guidance and numerous volunteer hours. He was also instrumental in establishing the Small Steps Energy Classic as a premier charity golf tournament in Houston. Small Steps Nurturing Center is proud to honor Mr. Foshee for his commitment to Small Steps and to Early Childhood Education in Houston.
